SCAM - URGENT NOTICE – 26 JULY 2010
National Landlords Association has been informed of a new scam whereby tenants are being asked
(at the NLA’s request) to send large sums of money in order to secure rental property in the UK.
The scam also involves using fake NLA Tenant Check stationary as a method of obtaining sensitive information.
The scam is using online advertisement sites including Gumtree.
NLA IS NOT INVOLVED IN THIS ACTIVITY – IT IS A SCAM.
NEVER send money to anyone advertising a rental property until you are certain the person and property exist.
