"I have been a landlord now for almost six years and in that time I have built a varying portfolio of residential properties that has provided me with a wealth of experience. As a landlord I would describe myself as somone who believes in providing good quality accommodation, maintaining good relationships with tenants, and someone who is always focused on maximising the profit from my portfolio. I have a keen interest in the laws governing our practice and a good understanding of the housing markets within my areas.

I have been an NLA member for approximately two years, initially joining to keep up to date with industry knowledge and to take advantage of a range of discounts, but quickly realised the additional benefits and support that could be utilised when up against local legislation and other issues that can impact a landlord. I became an NLA Representative so that I could be more actively involved in spreading valuable information amongst our landlord community and to work with local authorities to encourage good practice within our industry."
