UKALA: real information, support and advice

The benefits of being a UKALA member have increased significantly following the NLA tie-in. With access to the NLA, UKALA is able to offer access to a wide range of information, support and advice.

Telephone Advice Line:
UKALA members can now take advantage of the telephone advice line. It is staffed by full-time professionals and is available Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (Monday 9am to 7pm).

Website:
The website supports the growing and changing needs of landlords and agents. It includes:

• A comprehensive online library covering the day-to-day aspects of letting property.
• A summary of the key issues affecting the industry today, our stance on those issues and an update on what we are doing to address them.
• A set of updated FAQs and troubleshooting guides.
• Dealing with disputes, deposit queries, insurance and tenant issues.

• A calendar listing NLA events throughout the country.
• A ‘search for a UKALA agent’ and ‘verify your landlord member’ function.

Publications:
UKALA members will continue to receive the popular publication Lettings Update Journal and now also a copy of the bi-monthly publication UK Landlord.

Courses:
UKALA members will be eligible to attend a range of one day courses at discounted rates.

Events:
UKALA members are invited to attend the many landlord meetings that take place throughout the country

UKALA understands how important it is to offer good, reliable and cost-effective products and services to its members.

Through its partnership with NLA, agents can now access a range of services and products the NLA has developed for the sector.  Initially designed for use by landlords, these services can be used by agents directly or on behalf of landlords. UKALA members will benefit from the same discounted rates as NLA members on these tried and tested services. Services available to agents include:
