As with many things in life, in the world of residential lettings, preparation is key.

In this instance, the preparation being addressed is in connection with the letting agreement itself. Many landlords, eager to quickly fill their properties, fall into the trap of overlooking this critical stage. Whilst many landlords will have many years of happy and trouble-free letting, there will inevitably be some landlords who will experience difficulties with tenants. It is at that point that having a good letting agreement is crucial.
