New Gas Safety Initiative
from "UK Landlord" magazine, January 2007
CORGI and gas industry consultancy Downstream Gas Limited have issued a guide designed to help gas operatives identify when carbon monoxide (CO) is present
in a property. The guide, with the
less than memorable title of "Using Portable Electronic Combustion Analysers for Investigating Reports of Fumes" , does what it says on the tin - it helps operatives detect leaks of poisonous substances within people's properties.
Mike Thompson of Downstream Gas said: "This is a significant step towards improving safety in the home and should help avoid further CO tragedies in the UK."
