London Charity's landlord initiative
from "UK Landlord" magazine, March 2007
Landlords with studios and one bedroom flats in London may be interested to know that the Broadway London charity is offering landlords competitive rents on leases of up to five years which will be used to house single people and couples moving on from hostel accommodation.
In contrast to many similar agreements, Broadway London is guaranteeing both rent and a comprehensive maintenance service.
A housing officer will be assigned for each property to oversee its management and ensure any tenancy is progressing peacefully.
This person will be contactable by the landlord at any time. Aside from these commercial benefits the charity hopes landlords will gain satisfaction from playing a part in easing the capital's homelessness crisis.
