New NLA Landlord Manual
from "UK Landlord" magazine, July 2007
The NLA has produced a Landlord Manual for NLA member landlords in England and Wales. The Landlord Manual is a comprehensive reference guide setting out legal duties and best practice for landlords in the life-cycle of renting out a property.
The Landlord Manual is part of a package of tools that the NLA is producing to help landlords be successful by maintaining high professional standards. The NLA's Landlord Development package consists of the Landlord Development courses, the new NLA Landlord Manual and the NLA Landlord Library website.
NLA Director, Richard Price, has been overseeing the NLA's Landlord Development package and told UK Landlord that the Manual is a joint initiative with the Improvement and Development Agency, the Local Authorities Coordinators of Regulatory Services, and the Accreditation Network UK. Both Richard Price and Elizabeth Brogan, the NLA's Senior Policy Advisor, were involved in writing the manual.
The Landlord Manual is free for NLA
landlord members.
