New Private Rented Housing Panel for Scotland

Scotland is about to embark on an exciting new phase in the relationship between private landlords and tenants.

That's because as from 3rd September we will have introduced the new, independent, Private Rented Housing Panel, or PRHP. This will be important for every landlord and tenant in the private rented sector.

The PRHP will be created from the current Rent Assessment Panel, which has been working to ensure fair rents for tenants across Scotland for many years. However, this is more than just a name change. The PRHP's remit will now include making sure the new Repairing Standard is upheld.
