Services Directory offers £20 to NLA members
from "UK Landlord" magazine, Sep 2007
A new website specifically designed for landlords goes live in October, providing an easy-to-use search engine for recommended tradesmen, service providers and specialists.
The Property Owners Directory (POD) is the only trade and services directory recognised by the National Landlords Association, and is offering £20 to NLA members for every service provider they refer to the POD who subsequently signs up as a Silver or Gold service provider.
The directory allows visitors to search for businesses ranging from painters, plumbers and electricians to insurance companies, lawyers and architects, while the news section, reference pages and discussion forums are updated daily to provide landlords with up-to-theminute information and advice.
The quality of the services advertised on the site is also guaranteed, as user-recommended service providers and products get priority listing, and distinguished with a recommended icon. If a tradesperson or business is recommended by an NLA member, a special 'thumbs up' icon is displayed next to their name. Suppliers recommended by nonmembers also receive a recommended icon.
By making available the most comprehensive listing of property service providers and suppliers across the UK as well as providing expert advice on every stage of property investing from finding a property to the final sale, the site is set to be the daily destination of thousands of landlords across the UK.
Commenting on the launch of the site, NLA Chairman David Salusbury said: "The NLA welcomes the Property Owners Directory as a Recognised Supplier. I am confident that the services offered will prove to be a useful additional resource for novice and professional landlords alike."
