Baxi Duo-tec rated Best Buy combi boiler

A recent report by Which? magazine into new boilers recommended the Baxi Duo-tec C28 HE combination boiler.

The boiler was assessed as one of the few boilers on the market that reaches the highest efficiency standards and was considered ideal for flats and smaller houses.

Other boilers that reached high efficiency standards were the Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 824 and the Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 831 .

The Potterton Gold C24 HE was also recommended as a Best Buy because of its impressive range of controls which enable users to turn off central heating separately, regulate temperature controls on both central heating and hot water, and a mechanical timer.

Which? tested 34 boilers from a selection of leading manufacturers for fuel consumption, durability, energy efficiency and emissions. In addition, each was evaluated by a Corgi registered gas installer on how easy it was to install, service and use. The four Best Buys were judged as the most highly efficient, user friendly and reliable boilers tested.
