Environmentalist Chairman
for English Partnerships

Former head of World Wide Fund for Nature, Robert Napier, has been appointed Chairman of the national regeneration agency, English Partnerships .
Mr Napier will helm the agency as it integrates into the new Homes and Communities Agency in 2009, bringing together functions of the Housing Corporation and the Department for Communities and Local Government.
English Partnerships is currently the principal government body addressing issues such as affordable housing, key worker homes and regeneration of brownfield land. As well as his environmentalist professional history, Mr Napier has been President of the National Council of Building Material Producers, Chairman of the Board of the Met Office and a trustee of the Carbon Disclosure Project.
