Cannabis factories discovered
from "UK Landlord" magazine, July 2008
Two cannabis factories have been uncovered in private rented property in Neath Port Talbot and over 1,000 plants were discovered in the properties.
The Sandfields and Neighbourhood Policing Team has linked up with Neath Port Talbot Council's Environmental Health department to provide guidance to landlords across the borough to help them avoid this happening in their properties, which will be disseminated via the local authority's landlord accreditation scheme.
Cannabis is becoming an increasingly important topic in the private rented sector.
UK Landlord has in recent months reported cases of cannabis factories being found in Essex, Nottinghamshire
and Peterborough.
