Event Overview:

The NLA and New Statesman will present a series of fringe events at each of the Party Conferences this year.

We want our members involved in our debates with the three main political parties as we make the case for the value private landlords bring to the UK economy. We’ll cover the challenges facing the sector, what its place should be in the UK’s housing strategy and how we can make it easier to invest in private rented housing.

Entrance is free and is open to the public, but we especially would like to welcome local landlords to be part of the debate.

Attendees:
Jake Berry MP
David Salusbury NLA Chairman
Richard Blakeway, Mayoral Advisor on Housing, London Assembly
Nancy Kelley, Deputy Director of policy and research, Joseph Rowntree Foundation
Sophie Elmhirst, New Statesman (chair)
Martin Roberts Property Expert and Presenter of Homes under the Hammer
