NLA Accreditation
To become accredited,you need to complete the foundation course either here on the Library or via a one day attendance course. To find out where and when the foundation course is being hosted visit the events area of our website.
As a member of the NLA you can do the foundation course on the NLA Library for FREE by completing all of the CORE subjects (marked with a red c). The subjects can be accessed by clicking on the landlord library subjects icon.
However you complete the foundation course you are then required to sign our scheme rules (download here) this includes a declaration that you will keep your professional development (CPD) up to date. This should then be e-mailed back to accreditation@landlords.org.uk
CPD
What is Continued Professional Development (CPD)?
We all expect the people we deal with in all walks of life to be competent in what they do for us. CPD is the method used by professionals to ensure that their knowledge and skills remain relevant as needs and environments develop. It also demonstrates a professional approach to piers and third parties by quantifying the maintenance and improvement of knowledge, skills and competencies.
CPD can be undertaken directly here on the online library by working through individual subjects. On successful completion of the end of course quiz, your own CPD profile is automatically credited . You can also manually add attendance at any NLA branch meeting, local authority forum, conference, course or event to your CPD profile, so all your CPD is conveniently held in one location .
