NLA appoints Chief Executive Officer
The National Landlords Association (NLA), the UK’s largest independent organisation for private residential landlords, has appointed a Chief Executive Officer.
Richard Lambert will join the NLA as CEO on 1st October 2011.
David Salusbury, NLA Chairman, commented:
“The NLA Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Lambert as CEO. Our aim was to find an experienced individual with wide knowledge of the private-rented sector, and we have certainly found that in Richard. I look forward to working with him as the NLA moves towards its strategic goals.”
Richard began his career as a parliamentary civil servant before moving into public affairs working for a number of trade associations. He spent five years as a Policy Director at the British Property Federation (BPF) where he was responsible for establishing the organisation's involvement in residential property issues. Most recently, Richard has held the position of Chief Executive at the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) where he developed the federation into one of the leading timber industry organisations, whilst increasing membership by 45%.
From his time at the BPF, Richard is widely acknowledged within the industry as an effective and credible advocate for the private-rented sector (PRS).
Richard Lambert commented:
“The NLA has established itself at the forefront of the private-rented sector, working to raise standards among the landlord community and promoting best practice within the sector. I leapt at the opportunity to join such a dynamic association, and am keen to begin working with the Board to further develop the NLA's capacity to represent the legitimate interests of landlords to bring about a fair and balanced private rented sector.”
Richard Lambert will join the NLA Board and take up his new position of CEO on 1st October 2011.
