Online CPD for Scottish landlords launched
06 April 2010
Scottish landlords now have a unique way to help run their lettings businesses effectively, with the launch of the National Landlords Association (NLA) Landlord Library. The online resource is the first of its kind in Scotland and covers all aspects of letting.
The library offers landlords access to help, guidance, and the most up-to-date information on legislation whenever and wherever required. From the very first steps when thinking about becoming a landlord to the complex area of regaining possession of a let property, there are over 40 topics in the library appropriate for a novice investor or an experienced landlord with a substantial portfolio.
David Kendall, National Representative for NLA Scotland, said:
“As a landlord I know only too well that issues with a property can occur at any time. No matter how long you have been in the business there is always the potential for something unexpected to happen, but with the landlord library I know I’ll be able to find reliable information exactly when I need it.
“The private-rented sector is increasingly important as more and more people rely on it as the housing tenure of choice. Encouraging standards through landlord education is vital to the sector. The NLA Landlord Library allows landlords to continue their professional development and build on their knowledge by working through specialist modules within the library.”

- The NLA Landlord Library is free of charge for members of the National Landlords Association (NLA). Non-members can access the library for £40. For more information and how to become an NLA member go to www.landlords.org.uk

Notes to Editors:
Representing landlords from all over the UK, the National Landlords Association (NLA) is the leading organisation for private-residential landlords. It campaigns for the legitimate interests of landlords by seeking to influence decision-makers at all levels of government and by making landlords’ collective voice heard in the media. The NLA helps landlords make a success of their lettings business by providing a wide range of information, advice and services. It seeks to raise standards in the private-rented sector while aiming to ensure that landlords are aware of their statutory rights and responsibilities.
