About NLA Mortgages

Step 1 - Loan Requirements
The first section allows you to enter your basic mortgage details including the purchase price, loan required and the expected rental income for the property. It also calculates the cashback sum you could receive for the loan amount given.
The second section contains a series of options which enable you to specify further details about your individual circumstances e.g. It is an ex-council property; you are a first time buyer; you will be renting to students. You do not have to answer these questions, but doing so will filter your results so that only schemes that fit the selected criteria are shown e.g. you will be shown a list of schemes that allow ex-council flats, first time buyers, student tenants etc.
To view your results you click the 'Show Schemes' button at the bottom of the page. The 'Reset' button clears the screen.
Step 2 - View Results
In the first section, the first box displays the details of your loan requirements. The second box enables you to choose a type of mortgage and the rate term e.g. if you would like a 3 year fixed rate it will filter your results so that only 3 year fixed rates are displayed. If you select All Types and All Terms you will be shown all of the schemes that are available for your loan requirements. The third box displays the reward applicable to each mortgage scheme.
The second section displays the schemes that fit the information you have supplied and is initially sorted in rate order. It also indicates if the rental or deposit entered matches the lender criteria. You can re-sort the results by clicking on any of the column headings.
To view more information about a scheme you click on the 'Details' button in the left hand column. This will take you through to the next screen which provides full details of the scheme selected.
Step 3 - Scheme Details
The first section displays the mortgage details including loan requirements, lender fee, application fee, your cash back and any special conditions that you should be aware of.
The second section displays the full lender criteria, including the early repayment charge for the scheme. We recommend that you check these details to ensure that your application fits the lender's criteria. You also have the option to save or print the scheme details for future reference.
Step 4 - Download Application Form
When you have selected your buy-to-let mortgage using the Sourcing and Quotation System (SAQS), you will be given the option to download an application pack suitable for the product you have chosen.
In many cases this will be the NLA Mortgages generic electronic application form which has been designed in Excel, is simple to use and can be used both online and offline. This means that you don’t have to be connected to the internet to use it and do not have to fill it in immediately. You can also save the form onto your computer for future reference or fill it in at a later date.
