Building Sound Foundations for the PRS

The National Landlords Association has responded to the Northern Ireland Executive's draft strategy for the PRS, broadly welcoming the majority of the strategy's proposals.

Commenting on this latest wide-ranging strategy, the NLA has encouraged the Executive to grow the PRS and has welcomed its proposals in areas such as Housing Benefit to secure payment to landlords voluntarily accredited or part of a recognised professional body.

We will continue to work with the Northern Ireland Executive to ensure that the long term vision of a well-run, professional private-rented sector that is diverse, successful and helps Government meet Northern Ireland's housing needs.
