New Chairman Elected.
Following on from the election of a Unitary council for Shropshire in April this year, the old Shrewsbury NLA Branch has now broadened it's horizons to become the Shropshire NLA Branch.
The first meeting of this re-named branch was held in July in the Shire Hall in Shrewsbury, were, as well as a new name and new venue for the meetings, a new Chairman was also elected.
Mr Carmel Hazan takes over from Mr Ian Roberts who was the inaugural chairman when the branch was set up in 2006.
Carmel brings many years of experience both as a residential & commercial landlord to the chairmanship, and as he says, "it seems as thought the apprenticeship of being a landlord is never ending, especially as government has in the past few years, started to take a real interest in regulating & monitoring the rental market"
Carmel is keen to encourage as many landlords as possible to become members of the NLA, attend the Shropshire Branch meetings, learn from the invited speakers and exchange information & knowledge " to make us all wiser and more effective landlords"
The Shropshire Branch committee, NLA membership and Shropshire council wish him every success in his new role.
